As an Export Controls Associate, Maria brings expertise in nonproliferation, sanctions compliance, project management, and geospatial research & analysis. She is dedicated to delivering capacity-building trainings that equip clients to make informed decisions at the nexus of international security and export compliance.
In her role, Maria oversees the maintenance and updates of ECTI’s training materials for live seminars, e-seminars, and leave-behind resources, ensuring compliance practitioners stay aligned with evolving regulations. She also develops content tailored for new practitioners, focusing on the fundamentals of export controls. Maria’s ability to build strong, collaborative relationships ensures projects are delivered efficiently and with meaningful impact.
In her previous role as a Project Lead at CRDF Global, she spearheaded capacity-building trainings focused on sanctions compliance related to North Korea and Iran. Additionally, Maria served as a Research Associate at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, where she was dedicated to open-source research, 3D modeling, and analyzing countries’ ballistic missiles and nuclear advancements.
