Mikenna Babbs is the Export Control Manager at Auburn University, where she focuses on safeguarding research environments in higher education and ensuring compliance with Controlled Unclassified Information and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification requirements.
She has over six years of experience in research security compliance, including work in classified personnel security and managing risks related to foreign influence. She holds a master’s degree in sociology, where her research examined workplace mass shooters through the lens of insider threat analysis. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Policy, further expanding her expertise at the intersection of national security, policy, and academia.
