G. Karthik Srinivasan is a Senior Attorney at Vela Wood in Austin, Texas, where his practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and investigations. Karthik advises companies facing government investigations and provides counsel on export controls and CFIUS issues.
Karthik was a federal prosecutor for over 10 years at the U.S. Attorney’s Offices for the Eastern District of New York and Western District of Texas. During his time at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Austin, Karthik’s practice focused on complex cybercrimes and national security matters, including export control investigations. Karthik worked closely with federal law enforcement, including the Bureau of Industry & Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and national defense agencies on export control investigations that included violations of the EAR and ITAR, and matters reviewed by CFIUS. Karthik served as the District’s Cybercrimes Coordinator, Disruptive Technology Strike Force Coordinator, and Emerging Technology Coordinator.
