On December 9, 2019 the Canadian Exporting Reporting System (CERS) became available for use. It will replace the Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED). CAED will cease on June 30, 2020.
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) lists several benefits to the new system:
CBSA also outlines the piloting and onboarding process for CERS, with pilots beginning in January and onboarding through the June 30th decommission date for CAED.
