Canadian Exporting Reporting System Available Now - Export Compliance Training Institute

On December 9, 2019 the Canadian Exporting Reporting System (CERS) became available for use. It will replace the Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED). CAED will cease on June 30, 2020.

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) lists several benefits to the new system:

• It’s an online portal with a similar registration process as the eManifest Portal;
• It provides data validation prior to declaration submission; and
• It allows for reporting and bulk data uploading.

CBSA also outlines the piloting and onboarding process for CERS, with pilots beginning in January and onboarding through the June 30^th decommission date for CAED.
